MindForge Spotlight No. 20 / by Stokes McIntyre

We recently wrapped up our shoot for the seven new story videos that will be added to CLS: Safety Awareness in the coming months. As you might remember, we released our Working at Heights story video last year, so we spent the week of April 22 filming the other seven stories that will introduce the other hazards we focus on in CLS: Safety Awareness.

The purpose of these videos is to equip workers with stories about real people who were killed or injured when facing one of the eight most deadly hazards common to the construction industry. Studies have shown that stories make information more readily available for recall, so the hope is that when workers face hazards out on the job, they’ll call these stories to mind and act to avoid a tragic outcome.

Keep an eye out for future announcements on when these videos will be added to CLS: Safety Awareness.

Over the last few months, we’ve been working with a company called Mindstream Interactive to update the CLS App and make it easier to use. This means changes to how the menus and profiles are laid out, as well as to how videos and quizzes are displayed. Changes will take place for both the mobile and desktop versions of CLS.

Here are some images of what the CLS App might look like on a mobile device:

Last up, it was brought to our attention by some of you that frontline workers often feel more comfortable sharing their phone numbers versus their personal emails, so now, we’ve made it possible to register a profile on mindforge.studio or in the MindForge App with a phone number instead of an email address. If you choose to go this route, you will then use your phone number as your username whenever you need to log in. If you want to add or delete either your email or your phone number to or from an existing account, you can always sign in to your profile and edit that information.

Here’s a look at the MindForge App registration and login pages to help illustrate this new feature:

Thanks again for your interest in what’s going on at MindForge. We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks!
